In July of 2020, I quit my job to live on the road (my thought process: it seemed safer than being sick in my apartment and/or potentially killing someone at the grocery store). I’d planned to make it across the country and back in a month.. which turned into 3.

Note: Walmart was a frequent “camping” destination when all else failed. They open early and stay open late. Plus, bathrooms.
My Route:
- New York — Long Beach to see a friend
- Virginia — Bolar Mountain Recreation area (didn’t end up making it)
- Great Smokey mountains- Elkmont Campground
- Memphis, Tennessee
- Tulsa, then Black Mesa State Park in Oklahoma
- Taos, New Mexico
- Pagosa Springs, Colorado
- Moab, Utah at King’s Bottom BLM land
- Sequoia National Forest — Ant Canyon then somewhere in Sequoia National Park.. it was…
